Swell UK Editorial Review
The Swell UK Pressurised Pond Filter Deluxe 12000 has received mixed reviews from customers. Some customers have had positive experiences with the filter, finding it to be of good quality and easy to use. They also appreciate that it arrives on time. However, there have been several issues raised by customers. One common complaint is the UV unit on the filter failing after some time. Customers have reported that the UV light does not work or that it stops working after a while. This can be a significant problem for those who rely on the UV light to kill off algae in their ponds. Another issue raised is the difficulty in cleaning the filter elements. Customers have found that the filter requires almost complete dismantling to clean the filter elements, and they are expensive to replace. This can be a time-Consuming and costly process. There have also been reports of leaks in the filter, particularly around the screws and power switch. Some customers have found that the filter leaks from the top, causing the mains electronics to become wet. This can be potentially dangerous. One customer mentioned that they were unable to return the product because they did not have access to a photocopy machine. They expressed frustration with the customer service response, stating that they were told to send the entire unit back for fault testing, which would result in losing all the beneficial bacteria in their filter/pond. Overall, the Swell UK Pressurised Pond Filter Deluxe 12000 has its drawbacks, including UV unit failures, difficulty in cleaning, and potential leaks. Customers have also expressed dissatisfaction with the customer service response. However, some customers have had positive experiences with the filter's quality and usability.
