Rover Mandolins RM-75 Editorial Review
The Rover 8 String Mandolin (RM-75) has received a mixed but generally positive reception from customers, particularly those new to playing the mandolin. Many users have praised its sound quality, solid wood Construction, and playability, especially Considering its price point. Several players noted that despite initial skepticism due to the low cost, the instrument performed surprisingly well, with an appealing tone and manageable action across the fingerboard. However, there are noteworthy caveats to Consider. Customers reported that setup is necessary upon receiving the mandolin, as the bridge is delivered unassembled, requiring personal adjustment or professional assistance. While some users managed to set up the instrument themselves, others ran into issues with sharp frets and string buzzes that necessitated further professional work. This variability in quality and experience suggests that while the mandolin can represent excellent value, the user’s ability to properly set it up or willingness to engage a professional can significantly affect their experience. Despite these issues, many users highlighted that this mandolin serves as an excellent travel instrument and a reliable backup for more expensive models, offering unexpected depth in sound and a fun playing experience. It is appreciated by both beginners and more experienced players looking for an affordable yet quality option. **
