The Echo smartpen with 2GB of memory and included applications is a useful tool for taking notes in college classes. The pen can audio record up to 200 hours worth of audio. The handwriting digitizing software has been discontinued, and the pen has been discontinued, and is no longer supported by the company. The screen doesn't work or is sometimes faulty. The pen is expensive at $120. There has been confusion in terms of the description of what comes in the starter pack. Some reviewers state that the pen will quit recording and not tell you, and will not completely download sometimes. There is no Consistent and accurate way to convert handwriting into editable text.
