It is a dye that mixes up nicely with DI water, has no fallout, is pH neutral and it has not and do not expect it to react with any of the pc components. The color red is wonderful in clear liquid and does not cause any issue with buildup on any parts in the pc. However, the fluid is transparent, so the 'uv reactivity' is very little when actually inside tubes due to being transparent. The product comes with syspresp to run for 72 hrs.
