It is strictly a probe and cannot send or receive pulses. The voltage rating is 4-18V DC with input overload protection of +/-220VAC/DC and supply voltage protection of +/-20VDC. The probe beeps multiple times but does not indicate low signals on CMOS. It works on TTL and is useful for testing active circuits for tracing faults. However, the coiled power cord can be heavy and pull off the power terminals. Some reviewers also found it cheaply made and clumsy to use.
